About Me: Welcome, my name is Natacha Rodrigues. I am a Psychologist BSc (Hons) and I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Accredited (MBACP) and an Accredited Counsellor Psychotherapist for the National Counselling Society (MNCS). I also hold a Diploma in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and Life Coaching.
I experienced Counselling and Psychotherapy by seeking help as a client, so I know how these consultations/ therapies help and can change and transform your life.
My work is grounded in Humanistic/ Existential – Integrative approaches and Mindfulness practice. I am a Humanistic/Existential Psychotherapist and I work as a Counsellor in an Integrative way; meaning I am trained in many different theories/ Models/ Approaches and so I adapt my approach to meet your unique and individual needs.
I will assist you so you can better understand your problems/ difficulties/ issues and I will mediate and encourage you to explore and clarify your thoughts, feelings and behaviour related to your life experiences and we can together unravel, understand and overcome your issues in the most effective way possible. Thus, enabling you to live a life that is more satisfying and fulfilling.
I have 8 years of experience as a Hypnotherapist and Coaching and 6 years of experience of working as a Psychotherapist/ Counsellor. I have worked therapeutically with Adults, children, young adults and families, in long-term face-to-face, short-term face-to-face and time-limited face-to-face terms.
My speciality lies in helping people to overcome Addiction(S) individuals and families; Bereavement for Adults and children; Depression; Anxieties – stress related issues; Motivation – quitting smoking, lose weight. Clients have successfully overcome addictions, depression, phobias and lost weight and enhanced their health and well-being; people from different backgrounds, cultures, and languages.
I have professional liability insurance and an enhanced CRB check, and I work within BACP Ethical framework for good practice, that is, I abide by their code of ethics and values and adhere to the hours of continual professional development and supervision required for professional accreditation.
Research is a great way of contributing towards development of society. I have academic and clinical research experience in Addictions; Grief/Bereavement; ADHD; Mindfulness- Well-being; Life-Span Development; Yoga practice- Enhance health and Emotional Intelligence.
I also lecture for Diplomas in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and am currently studying for my Master/Doctorate in Counselling Psychology in Existential/ Humanistic approach & Psychotherapeutic Studies.
